In partnership with Asphalt Paving Systems and the Philadelphia Eagles, the Robert J. Capoferri Foundation works alongside the Eagles Autism Foundation to create meaningful opportunities for children and families throughout South Jersey.Through this collaboration, the Foundation helps host community programs, provide unforgettable game-day experiences for deserving families, and connect residents with valuable resources, education, and support initiatives centered around inclusion and accessibility.
As part of this ongoing partnership, the Foundation will host educational events at The Bellevue in Hammonton in collaboration with the Eagles Autism Foundation. The first, “Neurodiversity in the Workplace: Lunch & Learn,” will focus on fostering inclusive workplace environments and empowering neurodiverse individuals through education and advocacy. The second event, “Inclusive Recreation Coaching: Tips & Tricks for Success,” will provide coaches, educators, and community leaders with practical strategies for creating more inclusive recreational programs for individuals of all abilities. These programs represent just two of the many community-focused events and initiatives the Foundation looks forward to bringing to Hammonton and the surrounding region in the future.
Neurodiversity in the Workplace: Lunch & Learn
The Robert J. Capoferri Foundation and Eagles Autism Foundation were proud to host Neurodiversity in the Workplace: Lunch & Learn at The Bellevue in Hammonton. Guests enjoyed lunch while learning about the value of creating inclusive workplaces that embrace neurodiverse talent. Attendees heard directly from self-advocates and neurodiverse employees working with the Eagles Autism Foundation, who shared their personal experiences, workplace successes, and the impact that supportive employers can have on individuals with autism and other neurodiverse conditions. The event provided valuable insight into building more inclusive, understanding, and successful work environments.
Inclusive Recreation Coaching: Tips & Tricks for Success
Our Inclusive Recreation Coaching event brought together coaches, educators, parents, and community members for an inspiring evening focused on making sports and recreation more accessible for individuals of all abilities. Attendees heard powerful stories from two neurodiverse self-advocates who shared their experiences growing up autistic in sports, including the challenges they faced with bullying and exclusion, as well as the positive impact that supportive coaches and teammates had on their lives. The evening also featured a special appearance by former Philadelphia Eagles player and Eagles Autism Foundation ambassador, Jason Avant, who spoke about leadership, inclusion, and the importance of ensuring every athlete can participate and succeed. The event equipped attendees with practical tools and inspiration to create more welcoming recreational programs throughout our community.
Springtime Stem Fest
The Bellevue will also serve as a location where the Foundation brings families together through engaging community events, such as the Springtime STEM Fest. The event featured a full day of hands-on learning, spring-themed science experiments, creative activities, and seasonal fun designed to spark curiosity and excitement for STEM education among children of all ages. Families enjoyed an Easter egg hunt, face painting, raffles, giveaways, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny, creating lasting memories while encouraging educational enrichment and community connection. Building on this momentum, many additional family-friendly events will continue throughout the summer, expanding opportunities for learning, engagement, and community connection.
